The featured film is “P A U L L I Z Z I 》 BEST LIFE ( Official Video ),” published on Paul’s official YouTube channel on June 21, 2019. The verified archive places the shoot in Iceland and identifies two defining visual elements: black sand and an immense, almost impossible landscape. Paul is carried beyond the Montréal frame that shaped earlier work, while the environment supplies distance, exposure and silence around the performance.
A second official upload, “PAUL LIZZI | Making of Best Life,” followed on August 2, 2019. The archive labels it “behind Iceland” and records a practical truth the polished film could hide: the cold was real, and the work continued outside the final frame. Together, the finished video and its making-of companion show both the cinematic illusion and the physical conditions required to build it.
The location is part of the arrangement
This is where image-making becomes music-making. Black sand removes visual noise. Open distance creates room. Cold light hardens the edges. Those are editorial interpretations of verified elements, not invented production notes, but they explain why the film stays legible years later: the visual world follows the same economy as a strong arrangement.
